Amaravati : Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday targeted YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at a public gathering in Visakhapatnam.

The Jana Sena chief expressed solidarity for the agitating employees of Dredging Corporation of India who have been protesting from the last nine days in Vizag.

Targeting YS Jagan, Pawan said, "It is foolish on the part of Jagan to think that he would become the chief minister soon afte the death of his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. How can anybody expect to become the chief minister just because he happens to be the CM’s son?. Heirs of politicians should prove their worth before aspiring for bigger positions."

When asked why he has not supported Jagan, Pawan said, "I did not support Jagan only because of the stigma of corruption attached to him. I was afraid I, too, would become corrupt, if I supported his party in 2014."

But it is known fact that Pawan announced that he would reach out to the public from October on wards. But he came two months after the scheduled date.

Many people are thinking that he brought in to divert attention from YS Jagan. Interestingly, Pawan went little soft towards the TDP and he did not talk much about Kapu reservations, corruption by TDP and Polavaram or even special category status
