A delegation of Congress leaders, led by TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy met Governor ESL Narasimhan on Friday where they submitted a memorandum urging him to direct the government to rein in the sand mafia.
They even gave another memorandum to the Governor alleging that Manda Krishna Madiga’s arrest was illegal.The TPCC chief pointed out that IT minister KT Rama Rao tweets on international affairs yet remains ignorant about issues concerning his department and doesn’t react to atrocities committed by sand mafia in Telangana.
Uttam Kumar even questioned KTR's silence over the death of a Village Revenue Assistant (VRA) who was allegedly killed by the sand mafia in Kamareddy district.
Responding to Congress leaders’ statements, KTR advised them to know the facts before making allegations and clarified that the dead person is not VRA.
