Remove subsidy for Hindu pilgrims too: Owaisi counters Modi

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and Hyderabad MP on Wednesday challenged the Narendra Modi-led NDA government to stop the financial assistance and subsidy given to Hindu pilgrims in different parts of the country.
Owaisi's reaction comes in the wake of the central government's decision to end the subsidy given to thousands of Muslims for the annual Haj pilgrimage, an issue which the BJP had always called a means of appeasement. The MP said that the Cultural Ministry has sanctioned Rs 100 crore to the Madhya Pradesh government for Maha Kumbh.
