Pulse Polio Second Phase on April 2nd 2017

The State will go in for Second round of Pulse Polio Immunisation on April 2 this year. Oral polio vaccine will be administered to children below five years of age in the State to prevent any chances of the resurgence of polio transmission due to the wild polio virus.Health Minister said pulse polio immunisation rounds would have to be continued till no such cases are reported from anywhere in the world.Oral polio vaccine will be administered to children through booths set up in hospitals, health centres and various public places. The booths will be open from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m.
