Maha Bathukamma at LB Stadium

Hyderabad, Sept 27: Almost 35,000 women participated in Maha Bathukamma celebrations at Lal Bahadur Stadium on Tuesday.
The stadium filled with a festive look as members from different parts of the State gathered a 25-feet tall flower arrangement with about 60 small ones surrounding it.
The volunteers said that the arrangements were done before the women arrived.
This year, women from 31 districts gathered in the Maha Bathukamma celebrations.
Past year, Guinness record was srt with participation of over 9,000 women. The celebration attempted to be rewritten by Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha.
The women joined at the stadium by 4:30 pm and formed circles around the 25-feet Bathukamma, which was set up in the middle of the sprawling stadium. The women performed dance and sang Bathukamma songs.
